lonely wood script

[Dave] why are we here anyway Richard, (camera cuts from a point of view shot of Richards view, to Dave’s point of view shot)
[Richard]I told you Dave I read an article in that 18 year old newspaper about the strange events in this wood and I want to investigate them.
[Camera fades out to a flash back of Richard reading the newspaper showing the article in question]
[Dave] I would have thought that disappearances would be something to stop you from looking into this.
[camera cuts to a close up of Dave with a horrified look on his face]
[camera cuts to a medium shot a Dave and Richard, and shows a figure running across in the distance]
[Richard] well I want to find why people disappear.
[camera cuts to a tracking shot of Dave and Richard walking down the tourist trail of the wood then jump cuts to the edge of the trail]
[Dave] I guess this is the end of you investigation
[Richard] well it isn’t going to be on the tourist trail under the thumb of the public
[Dave] It? [fades to close up of Dave’s face as he says it and displays the worried look on his face]
[cantered low angle shot of Dave and Richard leaving the tourist trail to convey to the audience that something bad is going to happen]
[jump cut to further down there route on a extreme long shot showing a figure watching them this gives the audience an idea what is happening while the main characters have no idea]
[Dave] do we need to go any further it feels like we’ve been walking for days[designed to convey to the audience the distance they have walked since the last shot.]
[Richard] shouldn’t be any further now.
[jump cut to them closing in on a eerily lonely part of the wood camera seems to start shaking from creating an illusion of fear from the main characters]
[Dave] what’s that thing [ as he points the camera pans towards were he is pointing showing a shrouded figure with a covered face]
[camera cuts to close up of Richards face showing that he thought he was clever so he didn’t need to fear but it is the opposite of that]
[high angle long shot of figure coming towards them as it does the camera starts to shake trying to bring fear into the audience]
[camera cuts to pov shot from the figures view as Dave and Richard start to run in a different direction from they came in at]
[camera starts to follow them illustrating that they figure is hot on their tail]
[camera slowly pans towards the side of them on a tracking shot showing that the figure is faster and smarter than what an audience would expect enstilling higher amounts of fear from the audience]
[camera cuts to a medium shot of a tunnel]
[Dave] I say we go in that tunnel
[Richard] agreed
[camera cuts to a point of view shot from Dave’s perspective trying to make the audience become attached to this character]
[jump cut to them reaching the end of the tunnel]
[over the shoulder shot of Richard looking behind him trying to see where the figure went]
[Richard] I think we lost it
[figure laughs in a somewhat reverse laugh]
[ camera slowly turns as Richard does]
[Richard then turns as quick as he can to run]
[Richard] Dave aren’t you going to run
[camera cuts to a over the shoulder shot showing Dave is nowhere to be found and the figure is hot on Richard tail]
[in fear the camera speeds up in pace as Richard does with an overlaying sound of a rapid heartbeat illustrating the deep amount of fear involved]
[Richard reaches near the tourist trail and just as he is going to exit to safety the figure appears in front of him]
[camera fades out in pulses matching the pace of the heart beat]
[end sequence]
